The Avery Hall renovation consisted of the demolition, design, and renovation of the first year studios at Columbia University GSAPP. In addition to functional improvements, including upgrades to the electrical and communication infrastructure, all furniture and workspaces were completely redesigned and assembled in-house by the fabrication team. The new studios feature space for photographing models, a ventilated spray room, and a variety of specialized workstations. Light tables, material lockers, shelves, and desks are constructed with fabricated steel bases and engineered laminate wood.
