Burned Flower Disassembly is the first exercise assigned to me at Columbia University. We were given a sunflower and told to transform and document it in a manner of our choosing. I decided to incrementally cook the object in an oven and graph its subsequent changes in size and color. The graph itself is a nod to several of the artful diagrams of Edward Tufte and attempts to integrate as much information as possible into an all inclusive chart.
